Audio Visual Equipment: Business Projectors

Boardrooms should have reliable audio visual equipment in order to go conduct effective meetings and presentations. One of the most crucial items is the audio visual equipment. If you have a very old one in your office, then consider getting an upgrade so that this can retire for good. There are plenty of options on the market and they have excellent features that you will appreciate. The prices are reasonable and the operation is a breeze. Buyers should consider the following specifications when comparing various models:

Resolution

One of the most important reasons for you to upgrade the projector is the resolution. Old ones had very low resolutions that caused the images to be barely readable unless you made the effort to get near the screen. You could not project to a large wall because you will lose the details and everything will appear washed out. Now we have full HD with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 which corresponds to the number of pixels along the horizontal axis and the vertical axis. The higher these are, the better the sharpness will be. There are even 4K projectors although these tend to cost a lot of money.

Contrast Ratio

Consider the contrast ratio because this will affect the clarity of image, especially when a lot of light is present in the room. A high contrast ratio is characterized by deep blacks and clear whites. If there was a quote on the screen, then you can easily read it. If there was a photo, then you can quickly discern who it is. If you are watching a video, then you can readily follow the movements. Even if you do not completely darken the room, you should be able to see the presentation well.

Connections

Look at the ports behind the projector. Make sure that these are compatible with the computers and other devices that you have. It may be surprising for most, but a lot of businesses still cling to the VGA port because they have plenty of legacy systems that can only project with this connection. Sure, there are display port adapters, but it is always better to have the port ready when you need it. Many of these products come with multiple connections including HDMI for more modern devices. These might even be compatible with some phones.

Throw Distance

Think about the layout of the boardroom and the likely throw distance that you will need. Where will you place the projector? How big is your screen? These are all relevant when you are trying to figure out which product will work best for the space. Some are long throw projectors that can provide large images but you have to provide considerable distance between the device and the screen. Others have a short throw or even an ultra-short throw.
